Professional Bio
Amy Hamaoui is a Client Service Manager at PainePR and brings a blend of public relations, television and entertainment experience to the firm. Amy has demonstrated her expertise in management, production and media relations to a diverse range of clients including Sony, Levi's, Dockers, Blockbuster, Pampers, Hoover, myGoodDeed.org, BabyFirstTV, and DIRECTV.
Amy has worked on numerous award-winning programs, such as Pampers KandooTM product launch and Potty Bowl, the Levi's "Fit Experience" coast-to-coast tour, and the launch of BabyFirstTV, the first subscription-based channel dedicated to infant development. These awards have included the highest industry recognition for excellence in public relations, including PR Week's "Campaign of the Year" for BabyFirstTV.
Amy led the re-branding effort of myGoodDeed.org (formerly One Day's Pay) in 2006 for the fifth anniversary of 9/11 with CEO and founder, David Paine. myGoodDeed.org is the campaign to establish Sept. 11 as a National Day of Voluntary Service and is supported by Congress and leading 9/11 family groups. Amy managed logistics and media relations for three major events including a press conference with Senator Hillary Clinton and also edited the campaign's public service announcements, voiced by supporter and Academy Award nominee Gary Sinise, distributed nationally on ClearChannel and Fox Networks.
Amy also managed the "Levi's Fit Experience," a coast-to-coast tour that tested sophisticated body scanning technology with consumers and media to find perfect-fitting jeans, a common challenge for many women. The total program garnered more than 69 million impressions, producing $1.6 million in ad value - a 220 percent return on investment. As a result of the successful tour, Levi's implemented the permanent installation of the scanners in their stores nationwide. Amy has also produced various sizzle reels highlighting media coverage for Levi's, DIRECTV, Ivory and myGoodDeed.org, and is a member of the Business Intelligence committee for PainePR.
Prior to joining PainePR, Amy developed programming for Fine Living, a start-up network owned by Scripps Networks (HGTV, DIY and Food Network). Amy was on the original team of ten executives that launched the 24-hour lifestyle network in 2001, which grew to 30 million viewers in her three-year tenure. Amy managed 50 percent of the networks' programming slate of weekly series and specials, developing strong relationships with producers and talent, including Gordon Elliott, Al Roker, Michael Chiarello, Cynthia Rowley, and master sommelier Andrea Immer. Amy facilitated the development and production of each episode from pitch to final cut. She also handled master program scheduling and produced numerous presentation reels and in-flights of Fine Living programming for four major airlines.
Earlier in her career, Amy worked at DreamWorks SKG in Television Research and Syndication, aiding in major distribution deals for the hit series "Spin City" and cult favorite "Freaks & Geeks." She assisted the writer/executive producer on the Jerry Bruckheimer film "National Treasure" (2004), and worked as associate field producer on "Invasion Iowa," a Spike TV reality mini-series starring William Shatner.
Amy graduated in 2000 from the University of Southern California, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Annenberg School for Communication (Dean's List) with a minor in Cinema-Television. She is currently in training to become a certified yoga teacher through YogaWorks Orange County and teaches a weekly yoga class at PainePR.
